OSSO Bucco Ranch stew

I prep this in the morning before going out to work on the ranch. Dinner is ready when we come home hungry! Change up the spices to go Italian or Mexican or ranch style stew flavors.

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 pounds of bison osso bucco (meaty soup bones)

    • Salt, pepper, garlic powder, herbs spices of your choice

  • 1 onion chopped

  • 2-3 large carrots

  • 2-3 stalks of celery with leaves

  • 1 bunch kale

  • 2 large potatoes if desired

Directions:

  1. Season Osso Bucco and sear in hot skillet

  2. Transfer to slow cooker with chopped onions, celery, carrots, potatoes and kale

  3. Harlow Ranch Stew Sauce: Mix 2T “better than bullion” beef base, 2 mayo, 1.5 cups hot water or broth with spices of your choice (black pepper, garlic herb spice, onion herb spice mix (kirkland brand).

  4. Pour stew sauce over the veggies and meat - If you cook on high, you may need more sauce (or water or broth)

  5. Cook on low 8-10 hours until the meat falls apart. Push marrow out of bones and into the sauce. Remove bones.

  6. Serve with rice or pasta or gnocchi or enjoy as is.
