Harlow Family Bison Heart Recipe – Cream of Mushroom Style


  • 1 heart (about 2 lbs) chopped into one-inch chunks – Split and remove all vents and ducts and other white membranes.
  • 1 pint fresh mushrooms, halved
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 medium onion chopped



Add all these ingredients to the slow cooker.

Mix together and pour over the meat:

  • 1 pint organic cream
  • 2 T “Better than Bouillon” beef flavored
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cook on low 6 hours.  Serve over rice.
